Making Money Online
Making a living online isn't as
easy as the Gurus make it sound.
Why do they make it seem so easy? Because it's in their interest that you think
MLM and network marketing are simple; after all, selling to people like you is
how they make their fortunes.
How many times have you signed up for an “Instant Success” program? Quite a few,
right? Don't worry, you're not alone! Many would-be online entrepreneurs do the
same, especially when they're just starting out. Of course, a large percentage
of these don't continue with online marketing, because they find out it's just
not that simple, and nothing like as lucrative as the big hitters are telling
them.
If you're thinking of trying your luck as an online marketer, do some research
before you spend one cent of your hard earned money. Use money you can afford to
lose, as if it was a gamble. It IS!
If you can't afford to lose any cash, then it's even more important to do your
due diligence; there ARE free programs out there that work, but be prepared to
put in a big amount of time and effort to begin with.
Our Gurus, of course, are advertising “business opportunities” that pay
overnight, and “We do all the work for you”. Ask yourself this: “Why would
someone do all the work, and put in all the effort just to give me the money
they earn?”
Doesn't seem right in the real world, now does it? And it isn't true in the
internet world either, no matter what the hype says. It pays to develop a
little, or even a lot, of healthy scepticism, believe me. I've been there, just
like you, and it isn't much fun when you realise you've been ripped off.
There's a saying that “The money is in the list”. Not quite right, but the money
comes from the PEOPLE you have in your list. Never forget that you are dealing
with people, not numbers.
Build a relationship with people before you try to sell them anything, join a
few social networking sites, post in forums about topics you're interested in,
ask questions, give answers, in other words, brand yourself. Becoming known
online is part of being successful there.
If people know and trust you, having seen you around, then they are much more
likely to purchase from you. Don't rush into it, you have nothing to lose by
going slowly, and it will give you the time to make more online friends.
Do as much research and reading as you have time for. Yes, you really want to
get started right now, but seriously, look into it - you'll be glad you took the
time later.
All the best with your online marketing ventures.........
